Kunststoffzentrum SKZ invites to the digitalization conference "Digitalization - Successful Business Models in the Plastics Industry" on May 4-5, 2021. According to other event notes, the conference offered all participants the opportunity to discuss innovative technologies and new tools to actively shape digitalization.
Digitalization is revolutionizing business organization, especially in the plastics industry, from procurement to sales, from product development to the production chain. Digitization, artificial intelligence and machine learning are creating new business areas, complexity is increasing and additional requirements demand collaborative working in networks. This not only changes our workflows and processes, it requires further reflection and openness from everyone.
Employees and managers benefit greatly from digitalization. The Covid 19 pandemic has taught us that digitization does not have to be empty words, but can deliver concrete added value. Remote working and networking can even foster collaboration when leadership and transparency are aligned. Thanks to technologies like AR glasses and online platforms, travel restrictions have lost their initial fears.
Significant competitive advantage
Cheap plastic parts are now available all over the world. Digitization can give companies that adopt or expand it a crucial competitive advantage in global supply chains. Not only can products be developed faster and more comprehensively, but they can also be produced more sustainably. This starts, for example, with the targeted use of recyclable materials, the minimization of old parts through safe processes, or a holistic development approach in which production experts have become team members.
Small batches with more variants on as much of the same production system as possible require more flexibility in the production process: unmanned transport systems, smart machines or self-optimizing processes ensure that Germany and Europe become the production base thanks to sources from Germany and many Experts in interdisciplinary fields in Europe, you can experience all this in the two-day event. That is why it is important to get involved.
The event will be held in compliance with the current Corona rules (probably 2G-Plus).
